Tony Winning BILLYS Re-unite for TrueChild Charity Celebrity Cook-Off Event 5/3

David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish, Tony winners for their performance as Billy in the smash hit musical Billy Elliot the Musical, will be reunited to support TrueChild in their Celebrity Cook-Off event on Monday, May 3rd. TrueChild is a leading national organization that helps all children break through stereotypes so they can be true to themselves and reach their full potential.
TrueChild will be hosting their annual TrueFlavors Celebrity Cook-Off at The Institute for Culinary Education in New York City on May 3rd from 6pm - 9pm. Alvarez, Kowalik and Kulish will be joined by "Top Chef" season five finalists Carla Hall and Fabio Viviani. The event will be hosted by "Top Chef" season four star Ryan Scott. The TrueFlavors Celebrity Cook-Off is sponsored by ING.
For the competition, the teams will each have 35 minutes to prepare a three course meal with secret ingredients revealed only moments before the contest. In addition to the celebrity cooking competition, the event will include raffles, a live auction, and VIP reception.

Featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreographed by Peter Darling and directed by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot the Musical began previews Wednesday, October 1st. The show is presented by Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment, based on the Universal Pictures/Studio Canal film.
Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a passion that takes him by surprise, and takes his whole family on an incredibly uplifting adventure.

Billy Elliot the Musical is produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Jon Finn and Sally Greene. Angela Morrison and David Furnish are Executive Producers. The production features scenic design by Ian MacNeil, costume design by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting design by Rick Fisher and sound design by Paul Arditti. Musical supervision and orchestrations are by Martin Koch.
