Theater Resources Unlimited will present its next monthly panel, HOW TO RAISE A HEALTHY THEATER COMPANY, on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 7pm at The Players Theatre, 115 Macdougal Street, 3rd floor, NYC.

At this panel discussion, representatives from not-for-profit theater companies will talk about the history and evolution of their companies, how they are currently structured, and who does what. What is the division of responsibilities? The function of the board? The mission statement? How do you expand from the "Hey, lets put on a show!" to having prosperous annual seasons and, in some cases, a place to call a permanent home? And is having your own space an appropriate goal for your company? Some of the best and most experienced companies in the industry will share their business basics, audience development strategies and the wisdom they have gained in their development.

Panelists will include Paul Adams, artistic director, Emerging Artists Theatre; Brian Long, managing director, Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre; Lou Moreno, artistic director, INTAR Theater Company; Melinda O'Brien and Mike Muldoon, co-founders of M&M Productions; Kim T. Sharp, associate artistic director, Abingdon Theater Company; Ariana Smart Truman, producer, Elevator Repair Service.

Doors open at 7pm for networking and refreshments, panel starts promptly at 7:30pm.
