The Weston Friendly Society will be holding another round of auditions for their special 125th anniversary event, "The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)" by Eric Rockwell and JoAnne Bogart, on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Weston Town Hall (Townhouse Road, Weston, MA). The show is being directed by Paul Dixon and music directed by Chris Roppola.

Auditions are now open to all interested. They are no longer requiring auditionees to have previously been in a Weston Friendly Society production.

The auditions are for the roles of June, Willy, and Jitter only.

People auditioning are asked to prepare two contrasting songs (16-32 bars of each) that display their vocal versatility and ability to portray different styles. Please bring sheet music in a binder for the accompanist. In addition, please prepare a short (one minute or so) comedic monologue or reading. Since there will be no callbacks, auditioners may be asked to learn and sing music from the show as well as do cold readings from the script. Please be prepared to stay for the duration of the auditions.

Performances of the show will be on Saturday, January 23rd (our special gala night) and Sunday, January 24th, 2010. Rehearsals start in November – for a full rehearsal schedule, please go to the Auditions page on their website (www.westonfriendly.org) and click on the conflict sheet. The website also has additional information on the show and characters.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact info@westonfriendly.org.
