The Musical of Musicals Adjusts Performance Schedule for Holidays

The Musical of Musicals - The Musical! has announced its performance schedule for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  The show plays Dodger Stages, Stage Five (340 W. 50th Street).

The show will run on: Monday, November 21 at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 23 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, Friday, November 25 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, Saturday, November 26 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, and Sunday, November 27th at 7:00 PM.  The theatre will be dark on Tuesday, November 22 and Thursday, November 24.  For the Christmas holidays, the show will play: Monday, December 19 at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 20  at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 22  at 8:00 PM, Friday, December 23 at 2:00 and 8:00 PM, and Saturday, December 24 at 2:00 PM.  On Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, the theatre will be dark.

The schedule returns to normal on Monday, December 26 at 8:00pm, as follows:   Monday, Thursday - Saturday evenings at 8 pm and Sunday evenings at 7:00pm. (no  Tuesday and Wednesday evening performances). Matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm.  New Years Eve Performance, Saturday, December 31 at 2:00 & 8:00 pm.

The show "is a musical about ... musicals!  In a comic satire of musical theatre genres, one story becomes five musicals, each in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim," according to press notes.  The music is by Eric Rockwell, lyrics by Joanne Bogart, and book by Rockwell and Bogart. Pamela Hunt directs and choreographs.
