The Legend of Pearl Hart Lassoes Off-Bway, June 9-24

LCO Productions will present The Legend of Pearl Hart, a new musical about the life and exploits of Pearl Taylor Hart, the "Famous Female Arizona Bandit." It will be presented from June 9th through 24th at TBG Arts Center (West 36th Street, on the fourth floor, west of Eighth Avenue).
The musical features a book and lyrics by Cathy Chamberlain, and music by Rich Look. It will be directed by Lea Orth, with choreography by Jim Osorno.The show will star Laurie Gamache (A Chorus Line), Trip Pylmale (The Robber Bridegroom), George Riddle (The Fantastics), Keith Krutchoff and in the title role, Catherine Hesse.The Legend of Pearl Hart "chronicles the exploits of Pearl Taylor Hart, a young Canadian woman who, in the 1890's, became famous when she robbed a stage-coach. The resulting press coverage dubbed her 'The Daring Arizona Female Bandit' and made Pearl an overnight media sensation. In her growing fame and notoriety, she attracted the constant scrutiny of the law, male admirers and interest from the suffragette movement which included a jailhouse visit from Emma Goldman," according to press notes. Songs include "Colombian Exposition Midway March," "Just a Cowboy," "New Girl in Town," and "Newspaper Quote."
