The Directors Company has announced a reading of The Road Down the Mountain a new play by Jack Canfora, featuring Stephanie Kurtzuba (The Wolf of Wall Street), Jeffrey Doornbos (Grey's Anatomy), Andrew Rein (Jericho), and Terra Mackintosh (Running Interference).

In The Road Down the Mountain, a rock journalist with one last shot at redemption travels to interview a legendary musician living in seclusion with his caregiver wife and a live-in assistant. Public legend collides with private realities in this new play from Jack Canfora (Jericho, Poetic License) that explores love, art, and intimate secrets.

Jack Canfora is the winner of the 2016 Webby Award for Best Writing Online TV & Film for the pilot of a web series he co-wrote and co-created with Andrew Rein, The Small Time.
