The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Elects New Board Members in Los Angeles

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the newly elected members to its Board of Directors in Los Angeles. Through its U.S. branches, BAFTA celebrates the very best work in film, games and television, supports career development and cross-cultural collaboration, and promotes British talent to global audiences.

Kathryn Busby, Senior Vice President of Development at Sony Pictures Television Networks, has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board of BAFTA Los Angeles beginning January 1, 2019. She will succeed Kieran Breen, President of International Marketing for 20th Century FOX International, who has reached his term limit as a Los Angeles Board Member. Joining the Board in 2019 are Film and Entertainment Strategist Louise Chater, Actor and Producer Alexa Jago, Scripted Television Agent and Partner at WME Melissa Myers, and Vice President of Original Series at Netflix Nina Wolarsky. They will join current Board Members Phil Cross (Treasurer), Gary Goldberger (Secretary), Adam Bialow, Tara Halloran, Sandro Monetti, and Roy Taylor.

Outgoing board members completing their term as Board Members in 2018 include Beverley Ward and Chris Rice. Kieran Breen will continue his role as a Trustee of BAFTA.
