The Blue Martini, billed as a "modern day comedy of errors," written by Michael Ferrell, will return from September 19th through 23rd as part of FringeNYC Encores.  It will play the Lion Theatre (410 W. 42nd St. at 9th Ave.).

The show will be presented by Kids with Guns, Mike Klar and Ben Cikanek, and directed by Jim Wren.

In The Blue Martini, "a group of Chicago twenty-somethings struggle to figure out the meaning of love, sex and life. Alcohol entangles a sexy and cynical bar critic, a repressed cute girl, a computer-game freak, and a churchgoing, bartending, handsome dude. There's also the requisite gay roommate who sells 'pleasure items' to women at Tupperware-style parties," state press notes.

It should be noted that the production contains adult language, adult situations and adult "props."

The cast will feature Ferrell, John Peery, Candace Thompson, Josh Tyson and Emily Vitrano.

Ferrell, an alumnus of Chicago's Improv Olympic has appeared in plays and short films in Chicago before traveling the country with the sketch comedy group "Shtick People." New York City credits include Antonio in The Duchess of Malfi and appearing in two full-length plays which he also wrote: The Blue Martini and Spring and Jake, both at the Under St. Mark's Theater. He has also worked with the Tobacco Bar Theatre Co. and Dirty Steve Productions and recently produced his own showcase called Life is Short: Seven Plays by Michael Ferrell at Center Stage New York.
