PARENTS MUST BE DEAD Cautionary Tales From A 57 Year-Old Orphan

An original solo show by Christine McHugh developed with Tanya Taylor Rubinstein starring CHRISTINE McHUGH January 19, 20, 21

A seasoned director of solo shows with over 25 titles to her credit including multiple Fringe offerings and the United Solo Theatre Festival, McHugh developed her personal piece in collaboration with Tanya Taylor Rubinstein in her year-long Performance Mastery Intensive. Christine says, "I thought it was time to find out just how transformative this process that I was facilitating for others was and so I chose the recent milestone event of the death of five parents in my life. This experience took me deep into an exploration of what it means to love "unconditionally" and I wanted to share this personal and eye-opening journey with an audience. It's a landscape that all of us either have or will eventually navigate and I wanted to do it with a measure of humor and vulnerability. A big purpose of this memoir show is to prepare people if they haven't experienced this passage or remind those who have of just how far they've come in being transformed by this milestone event."

Christine McHugh is a filmmaker, theatre director, performer and a teacher. Her film, On The Nature Of Hotness won the 2013 New York City International Film Festival for Best Short Comedy and was the official selection at ten film festivals in 2013 and 2014 including Cannes Court Metrage, Seattle Gay and Lesbian and the Starz Denver Film Festivals. She directed DonnaLou Stevens in her viral music video, Older Ladies that has over 16 million views on YouTube as of this writing. She is the current President of New Mexico Women in Film and her Production Company Legacy Video creates short films of family matriarchs and patriarchs to capture the unique histories, memories and stories for posterity.

BLOWN SIDEWAYS THROUGH LIFE: An hilarious Tour de Resume by Claudia Shear starring JESSICA OSBOURNE January 26, 27, 28

Blown Sideways Through Life is an account of the numerous "McJobs" we have all held while struggling for success. Dubbed "The Ultimate Working Girl" by Newsweek , Claudia Shear takes readers on a wild adventure through the American work force in Blown Sideways Through Life.

Have you ever held down a job for money rather than love? Put up with an impossible boss? Been told when and how often to visit the restroom, get a drink, use the phone? Struggled to remember that who you are doesn't depend on what you do?

Claudia Shear, a misfit from Brooklyn who grew up dreaming of adventure. Shear rode a wild wave of employment (sixty-four jobs in all) on her way to realizing her dream of becoming an actress. Before landing the starring role in the upcoming film, Body Language, and scoring a deal with Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg for her own sitcom, she worked as (among other things) a pastry chef, a nude model, a waitress (a lot), a receptionist in a whorehouse, a brunch chef on Fire Island, a proofreader on Wall Street (a lot), and an Italian translator. On the surface her life makes for a hilarious tour de resume. But underneath is a universal lesson learned about life in the workplace.

Jessica Osbourne trained at Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, London, and is a member of British Actors Equity and Screen Actors Guild. Theatre roles include: Rita in Educating Rita | Shirley in Shirley Valentine | Kate Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer (West End Productions), Beth in The Way We Get By | Sister Amnesia in Nunsense and Nunsense 2 | Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors | Gretchen in Boeing Boeing (Aux Dog); Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (SF Shakespeare Society), Desdemona in Immortal Longings (Vortex) and Diva/Shirley in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert -The Musical (NHCC).
