Broadway legend Tammy Grimes is extending the premiere of her new solo show "Miss Tammy Grimes," which has been playing a hit run at The Metropolitan Room since opening on April 4.

"In 'Miss Tammy Grimes' the two-time Tony winner intersperses songs from her storied stage career with an eclectic mix of her favorite composers, not to mention a few mentors, lovers and friends.  Her eye-opening song list includes  gems by Oscar Hammerstein II, Meredith Willson, Jimmy Buffet, Tom Waits, Kurt Weill and Noel Coward.  This imited run marks the first time Grimes has presented a club act in decades," state press notes.

Her audiences in recent weeks have included Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson, Lanie Kazan, Patricia Neal, Julie Wilson, Byron Janus and Maria Cooper, and Joan Rivers.

Grimes won Tonys for her work in Private Lives and for creating the title role in The Unsinkable Molly Brown.  Other Broadway credits include Orpheus Descending, 42nd Street, Trick, Tartuffe, California Suite, and High Spirits.  Film credits include High Art, A Modern Affair, Slaves of New York, The Last Unicorn and Can't Stop the Music

The added performance of "Miss Tammy Grimes" is Thursday, April 19 at 8pm.  The cover is $35.  The Metropolitan Room is at 34 West 22nd Street.  For reservations call 212/206-0440.  Visit www.metropolitanroom.com for more information.
