Want to know what hooked your favorite Broadway stars to a career in the theater? Dying to know more about their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Every Friday afternoon, BroadwayWorld is bringing you THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with the best of Broadway and beyond.

In this week's edition, we caught up with Samantha Quan, who is currently in previews for Vietgone- playing at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I .

What is the first Off-Broadway (or Broadway) show you ever saw?

RENT. I was so excited to be in New York for the first time and to be seeing a show that I had listened to a billion times. I sat next to a group of teen girls and their mothers from Tennessee on a theatre tour and I remember them being a little "uncomfortable" with the subject of the play. During the intermission, one of the moms turned to me and said (in the most lovely southern drawl- she may have even been fanning herself), "Umm, did you know this play was about this?" I answered with a smile, "It's great, right?!?"

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I don't know if I would call it a ritual, but to keep warm before the show, a lot of the time I wear a fat cat (Totoro) kigurumi- a fuzzy animal/character onesie. Basically I look like a stuffed animal while I stretch, prep for the show and chat with cast and crew.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

This was probably more recent then I would like to admit but last week I BIT IT on stage... practically a face plant... while carrying a whole tray of food. There were tater tots all over the stage and I had to clean it up... yup. That day, my first line in the scene - "I hate this place" - was an honest one.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

The main role that I'm playing in Vietgone is one of thanks and respect for all the women in my family both now and in the past. It is my mom, my grandma and their moms and grandmas. Huong and all the other ladies I get to be in Vietgonemake me so happy to live in that I can say honestly: presently I am in a dreamy contentment.

Who is your Broadway or Off-Broadway crush?

Easy: my Vietgone family. They are some of the loveliest and funniest people I have ever known... and Bebe Neuwirth- I saw her in Chicago and a few years later I had the pleasure of working with her- she is so talented and wonderful and I think she's just the bee's knees.
