Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As With Your Favorite Broadway Stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Sara Chase, who is starring as 'Grandma Ida/ Lauren/Aaron's Mother' in First Date- currently in previews at the Longacre Theatre; opening August 8.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

I saw MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS when I was 7. They had a real ice skating rink on stage. What?!

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I am trying really hard to make my dressing room the cool hangout area at FIRST DATE, so Chatty McGee here is usually trying to finish getting ready after they've already called "places."

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

In THE TOXIC AVENGER, my character unrolls a carpet for Toxie to sit on while barefoot and only wearing a thin nightgown. One night, I unrolled the carpet and a live mouse jumps out and scurries across my bare foot and onto the set. My character is also supposed to be blind so I "couldn't" see it and I couldn't run off the stage screaming like a little girl either.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Anna Leonowens in THE KING AND I. Those songs! Those costumes! Oh my.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Harry Connick Jr. please.
