Disney Theatrical Productions has announced that a Student Rush Program will replace the previously announced Lottery Ticket Program for their production of TARZAN®. The Student Rush Program will begin with the performance on Thursday, April 6th.

Two hours prior to each performance, and based on availability, $20 Student Rush tickets will be sold at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). There will be a limit of 2 tickets per student ID, per performance. Guests will be required to present a valid student identification card to the box office in order to be eligible. Please note that the Student Rush tickets are available to any student up to and including the undergraduate level. Tickets will begin to be sold two hours prior to each performance and they will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Disney's Thomas Schumacher says, "After witnessing the success of the Lottery Program these past two weeks, I realized that I want to make affordable tickets to TARZAN® available to as many students as possible. As someone who grew up wanting to see as much live theatre as I could, it is such a pleasure to be able to make these reduced price tickets available to students for TARZAN®."

TARZAN® will open May 10th at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street).

The production stars Josh Strickland as Tarzan, Jenn Gambatese as Jane, Merle Dandridge as Kala, Shuler Hensley as Kerchak, Chester Gregory II as Terk, Timothy Jerome as Professor Porter and Donnie Keshawarz as Clayton. Daniel Manche and Alex Rutherford will alternate in the role of Young Tarzan.

The production will also feature Darrin Baker, Marcus Bellamy, Celina Carvajal, Dwayne Clark, Veronica deSoyza, Kearran Giovanni, Michael Hollick, Joshua Kobak, Kara Madrid, Kevin Massey, Anastacia McCleskey, Rika Okamoto, Marlyn Ortiz, Whitney Osentoski, John Elliott Oyzon, Andy Pellick, Angela Phillips, Stefan Raulston, Horace V. Rogers, Sean Samuels, Nick Sanchez, Niki Scalera, Natalie Silverlieb, JD Aubrey Smith and Rachel Stern.

Two-time Tony Award® winner Bob Crowley (Aida, Carousel), directs and designs scenery and costumes for TARZAN®. The score includes five songs from the Disney film by Oscar® and seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner Phil Collins and will introduce nine new songs by Collins written exclusively for the theatrical production. Tony Award®-winner David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) has written the book, based on the story, Tarzan of the Apes, by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and the film, Tarzan®. Choreography is by Meryl Tankard, with aerial design by Pichón Baldinu (De La Guarda). Lighting design is by Tony Award®-winner Natasha Katz (Aida) and sound design is by John Shivers. Other members of the creative team include Paul Bogaev (Music Producer/Vocal Arrangements) and Doug Besterman (Orchestrations).

The Student Rush Program may be suspended from time to time at management's discretion. Check at the box office for details. Student Rush tickets are subject to availability. Performance times, prices, and dates and cast are subject to change without notice. Payment can be made by cash only. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds. Blackout dates and additional restrictions may apply.
