In celebration of the centennial of the birth of trailblazing author, Brooklynite & pioneer in American children's literature, EZRA JACK KEATS (1916-1983), the Drama Desk Award-Winning TADA! Youth Theater will present ADVENTURES FROM EZRA JACK KEATS: SKATES and MAGGIE & THE PIRATE, original Off-Broadway musicals, performed by the talented kids from TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, for kids of all ages. With book & lyrics by WINNIE HOLZMAN & music by DAVID EVANS, SKATES and MAGGIE & THE PIRATE opens on July 9th & runs through August 4th at TADA! 15 West 28th Street.

SKATES is a dance-theatre adventure on wheels! In MAGGIE & THE PIRATE, Maggie's pet cricket has gone missing & all that is left is a note saying "The Pirate Was Here!" *A short pause will take place in between the two pieces.

Audience InterACTive: Want to perform on the TADA! stage with some of the cast members? Now you can! Following the show on July 14th, learn a song & dance from the show with members of the cast, the choreographer & the musical director. Get in on the ACTion! $10 per participant.

JANINE NINA TREVENS, Executive & Artistic Director of TADA! directs the production, which stars TADA!'s RESIDENT YOUTH ENSEMBLE (ages 8-18). Associate Artistic Director & Resident Choreographer, JOANNA GREER, will choreograph & MATTHEW GREGORY serves as Musical Director.

TADA! original musicals are approximately one hour long & are intended for family audiences. Bring the whole family to TADA! for less than the price of one Broadway ticket!
