Suzi Shelton and Her Band Kick Off Symphony Space 'Just Kidding' Season, 10/6
Symphony Space's "Just Kidding" series, now in its tenth year, offers interactive music, theater and dance experiences for every family with children ages 2 to 7. The season debuts on Saturday, October 6 with a performance by Suzi Shelton and her full band.
Brooklyn-based Suzi Shelton is a true star in the city's vibrant children's music scene with her catchy, heartfelt lyrics and her hip, upbeat sound. With awards from Parents' Choice, the Children's Music Web, iParenting Media, Kids First, and a Gold Award from National Parenting Publications, this kindie singer/songwriter is quickly spreading her music beyond the city and gaining national acclaim.
"Symphony Space is the ultimate venue for families in New York City," says Shelton, mom to a son, who will perform mandolin, and daughter, who will lead the Gumdrops, Suzi's group of young backup singers. "It's such an accessible venue, and there's something for everyone in this series. I'm honored to kick off this season."
