About the Stonewall Chorale:
The Stonewall Chorale is America's first LGBT chorus, and one of the few choruses in the nation comprised of both men and women. It is NYC's only gay mixed chorus that performs classical music.
The Chorale is noted for its high quality performances of great choral literature from all eras at significant venues in NYC, and was recently featured in two performances of Meredith Monk's work at the Guggenheim Museum and at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
The Stonewall Chorale has received grants from Lincoln Center's Community Arts Project Fund and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. It regularly presents 3 subscription concerts a year and has devoted itself to celebrate the beauty of diversity, to nurture tolerance, and to strive for the highest ideals in choral performance.
