Jim Owels Liberal Democratic Club is set to honor Yetta Kurland along with Bobby Steggert (Tony Award nominee) and Patrick Heusinger (Next Fall, Gossip Girl). Opening remarks will be made by Golden Globe nominee John Cameron Mitchell and will be hosted by HAl Sparks, star of the SHOWTIME hit series Queer as Folk. Call (212) 741-3677, email aroskoff@mac.com, or message a group administrator to purchase a ticket, make a donation, or request more information.

Tickets range in price accordingly as, Sponsor $150, Patron $250, and Benefactor $500, Ticket $75.

Proceeds benefit the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club and its endorsements of pro-gay political candidates throughout New York City The celebratory evening will take place at famed Chelsea eatery, ELMO located at 156 7th Avenue between 19th Street and 20th Street, beginning at 8pm.

Yetta G. Kurland has been an advocate of civil rights in the New York City area for over a decade and she has gained recognition and attention for the legal work she does as well as her commitment to social justice. She is the founding partner of Kurland & Associates, P.C., a full service boutique law firm offering a wide array of legal services ranging from simple and complex litigation to transactional and administrative legal services. By using a holistic approach in its practice, Kurland & Associates, P.C. is able to offer its clients the very best in traditional legal resources using an innovative approach which guarantees the best overall long term care for its
clients. Yetta has been a fearless advocate for LGBT equality in New York City and beyond.

Bobby Steggert made his Broadway debut in "Master Harold"...and the boys. He has since appeared as Jimmy Curry in 110 in the Shade, a role for which he received an Outer Circle Critics nomination.
Steggert was also nominated for Drama Desk and Drama League Awards for his performance in The Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island. He was last seen on Broadway in the revival of Ragtime which he received a Drama Desk and Tony Award nomination and off-broadway in Yank! Which he
received a Drama Desk award for as well. Steggert's film credits include Night Swimming, The Namesake, and Kinsey. He has also appeared on the television series All My Children. Patrick Heusinger is best-known for his role as "Lord Marcus" on the CW's hit drama "Gossip Girl." Additionally in television, he will next appear in a recurring role on "Rescue Me", and has recently
guest-starred on "The Good Wife" and "30 Rock."

He has appeared in films such as The Nanny Diaries, Tie A Yellow Ribbon, Sweetland (winner of the Audience Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival and Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature) and Skin Deep. Heusinger starred as Lancelot, French Taunter, Knight Who Says Ni, Tim the Enchanter, et al in the national tour of Spamalot. Other theater credits include Fyedka in Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof and The Papermill Playhouse's production of Godspell. He recently participated in workshops of Kyle Jarrow's and Nathan Leigh's Big Money with director Shira Milikowski at Ars Nova, and the title character in Steven Sater's Prometheus Bound for director Diane Paulus. Heusinger is a graduate of The Juilliard School. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL and currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
