Staten Island Children's Museum Celebrates Yayol Kusama's Artwork
In celebration of Women's History Month, the Staten Island Children's Museum is celebrating the works of one of the world's greatest living artists. Polka dotted trees, mirrored infinity rooms, giant soft spotted tentacles stretching up from the floor; to walk into a display of Yayoi Kusama's artwork is to walk into a fanciful explosion of color, joy, happiness, imagination, and excitement; a child's fantasy!
During a very special Weekend Walk-In Art Studio, we invite you to create your very own Kusama-inspired piece-which will then be incorporated into a new public art exhibit at the Children's Museum!
Learn about Kusama's varied works, including paintings, sculpture, music, film and performance art and be inspired to create your own masterpieces.
