'Something New' Free Digital Album Now Available

Recently named one of the Top 20 Podcasts for Theatre Fans by BroadwayWorld.com, each episode of "Something New" concludes with a premiere recording from one of Joel's latest musical projects. The second season's lineup included Drew Gasparini (songwriter for NBC's SMASH), Sheri Sanders (author of "Rock the Audition"), Amy Jo Jackson (dialect coach for Broadway's KINKY BOOTS), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (co-host of "The Ensemblist" podcast with Mo Brady), and more.
The songs on "Something New" are often recorded live in a room with a piano, all in one take. "It's important to me that the performances feel as in-the-moment as possible," says New. "Most of the time, these songs are hot off the presses and my guests are learning/recording them in the same hour. I leave each session feeling so inspired; I also think it's a more exciting and authentic experience for the podcast listener."
