Solo Play SCHEISS BOOK to Return to NYC

Liba Vaynberg's award winning solo play "Scheiss Book: 6 Words for My Condition" will return for one night only on September 15th at Dixon Place. Winner of the Backstage Magazine Audience Choice Award and Best One-Woman Show at the United Solo Festival with a record-breaking number of encores, Scheiss Book is a solo show for people who hate solo shows. Relatives who survived the Holocaust are mentioned only for comedic purposes.

Written and performed by Liba Vaynberg* (The Deuce, Madam Secretary, Oregon Trail), directed by Leslie Gauthier (STOP THE VIRGENS, 23-Year-Old Myth) and stage managed by Emily Tabachuk (Little Children Dream of God, 23-Year-Old Myth). Leslie Gauthier (Director): Past directing credits include Sarah Ruhl's Melancholy Play, Sarah Kane's Crave and has also directed for Amios Theatre Company's monthly Shotz. She wrote, produced and performed her play 23-Year-Old Myth at the Dream-Up Festival. Acting credits include The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, Stop the Virgens (St. Ann's Warehouse), Turn of the Screw (Lincoln Center, Everyday Inferno), Madame de Sade (Columbia University). She's also performed at Williamstown Theatre Festival. She's studied at UCB, MXAT and is a proud graduate of Fordham University where she studied Directing & Acting.

Emily Tabachuk (Stage Manager): is the Assistant Production Manager at the Atlantic Acting School and the Resident Stage Manager of Child's Play NY, a children's after school program in Brooklyn. Select credits include Say You're Sorry, Black Protagonist, and Freesome with The Associates Ensemble (PSM), The Purple Lights of Joppa Illinoisat Atlantic Stage 2 (Asst. Prod Manager), Little Children Dream of God at the Roundabout (APM), Highbrow/Lowbrow at HERE (PSM), Found at Atlantic (APM), 23 Year Old Myth at Dream Up! (PSM), and several dance and theater festivals at Bard College.
