Film and theatre star Christian Slater, who was seen in London last year in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, will return to the West End to star in Swimming with Sharks, reports Variety.  Playing a limited fifteen-week run, the production will begin previews at the Vaudeville Theatre on October 5th and open on October 16th.

Adapted by Michael Lesslie from the 1994 film with Kevin Spacey, Swimming with Sharks is a thriller that "centers on a wannabe screenwriter who becomes the producer's assistant."  Slater will play the ruthless film producer (the role played by Spacey).

Slater has also been seen on Broadway in The Glass Menagerie and Sideman.  His many film credits include Heathers, Pump Up The Volume, Broken Arrow, True Romance, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Windtalkers, Interview With the Vampire, Tucker and The Name of the Rose.

Nick Frankfort and Tobias Round for CMP and Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer for Nimax Theaters Limited are the play's producers.
