Shoshana Bean Announces Sophomore Album for Fall 2012 Release

Broadway star and recording artist Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Hairspray) has announced the production of her sophomore album. This upcoming album (currently untitled) is due out this fall. Ms. Bean’s first album Superhero, which debuted in 2008, reached #5 on the iTunes R&B charts and the title track received an Independent Music Award for “Best R&B Song”. To help raise funds and awareness for this new project, a Kickstarter fundraising campaign has been launched, offering a variety of rewards and incentives for fans and supporters who contribute to the album’s development.

Rewards for contributing to the Kickstarter campaign include tshirts, vinyl copies of the album, one-on-one skype or phone conversations with the artist, private singing lessons, visits to the recording studio, a custom-written song, a limo ride to with the artist to either the New York or Los Angeles album release party, a private concert in one’s own home and much, much more. Ms. Bean, who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of “Elphaba” in the Broadway company of Wicked, has even offered a package where she will “greenify” you (paint you green like the infamous witch).
