Shop for a Cause This Year with BroadwayGirlNYC's 2015 BC/EFA Holiday Gift Guide!

There's so much to look forward to every December in New York. The tree going up at Rockefeller Center; ice skating in Bryant Park; gorgeous window displays at Macy's and Bloomingdales. For many Broadway fans, the Gypsy of the Year concert and a new Carols for a Cure album mark the start of the holiday season. For me, it really feels like Christmas when I receive my favorite pre-holiday gift: the annual Broadway Cares snow globe. Behold, the 2015 globe:

This gorgeous memento of the Broadway season is but one gem in a BCEFA's Catalogue of Giving, an entire online store full of gifts that bring cheer to Broadway fans, while simultaneously funding programs that do good: The Actors Fund, including the HIV/AIDS Initiative; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic; and more.

I encourage you to peruse the entire Catalogue of Giving so you don't miss a single offering. In the mean time, here are some of my favorite items.

The "Broadway Cares Collection" features logos from the current season's shows, so the offerings change every year. I love this year's royal blue tote bag and maroon hat:

It's no secret that I love nothing more than declaring my love for Broadway at every opportunity. That's why I love this fun, whimsical pillow. Not just show logos but BROADWAY! with stars & an exclamation point! Super into it.

Other Broadway Cares Collection items include a mug, two different glasses cases, an adorable makeup or accessories bag, even a watch - to keep you on time for your shows! - and a charm bracelet featuring logos from long-running shows.

Decorating your tree (or apartment) with a Broadway theme? There's a brand new Broadway Cares Collection ornament available, plus a new set (the 4th annual) of ornaments featuring classic Playbill covers. And perhaps the most coveted item of the season? This exclusive Barbra Streisand "I'm the Greatest Star" glass ornament, only available through Broadway Cares.

If you collect autographed items, you'll find a TON in this year's Catalogue of Giving. Here are a few of my top recommendations (all SIGNED!):

Andrea Martin's biography, "Lady Parts"

Neil Patrick Harris' book "Choose Your Own Autobiography"

Jerry Mitchell's photo book "Broadway Bares: Backstage Pass"

Bernadette Peters' kids books "Stella is a Star" 7 "Stella & Charlie: Friends Forever"

Betty Buckley's CD "Ghostlight"

Megan Hilty's CD "It Happens All the Time"

Patti Lupone's CD "Far Away Places"

Aaron Tveit's CD "The Radio In My Head"

Got a baby (or a parent) on your list? Grab a Broadway onesie or plush toy, or grab Ilene Graff's "Baby's Broadway Lullabies" CD, customized with the child's first name.

And don't forget to show your support with the Red Ribbon collection. From pendants to keychains to apparel (I especially dig this knit cap), there are plenty of ways to wear the red ribbon with pride.

HAPPY SHOPPING! And the happiest of Broadway holidays. Give, give, give! See you in 2016.
