MANHATTAN THEATRE CLUB (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) will present its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the New York Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, at 53rd Street. The star-studded show will be hosted by the star of the Broadway musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, John Lithgow. The show will include numbers from this season's new musicals, including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Brooklyn the Musical, and Altar Boyz plus special guests including Mario Cantone, star of Broadway's Laugh Whore and HBO's "Sex and the City," and Golden Globe Award-winning singer/songwriter AMANDA ("The Rose") McBROOM.

The evening will honor Manhattan Theatre Club Executive Producer Barry Grove on the 30th anniversary of his leadership at MTC.

All monies raised from this annual event will benefit MTC's mission to produce the best contemporary plays on and off Broadway, and to bring theatre to thousands of NYC students through its acclaimed education program.
