'Same Train' by Simon & Bruckner, Premieres Feb.13-March 8

Algonquin Theater Productions (www.algonquinproductions.org) today announced it will present Same Train, written by Audelco Award-winner Levy Lee Simon with music and lyrics by Mark Bruckner, at The Algonquin Theater from February 13 through March 8, 2008.

"Same Train is comprised of seven stories – poignant and soul-stirring – of the African American experience of the twentieth century," explain press notes, "The show, which interweaves spoken word with gospel, jazz and blues, is performed by four actors, two singers and a trio of musicians."

Same Train will be performed: Wednesday through Saturday, February 13-16 at 8PM; Friday through Saturday, February 22-23 at 8PM; Sunday, February 24 at 3PM; Monday, February 25 at 8PM; Friday through Saturday, February 29-March 1 at 8PM; Sunday, March 2 at 3PM; Monday, March 3 at 8PM; Wednesday through Saturday, March 5-8 at 8PM.

All shows are at The Algonquin Theater, 123 East 24th Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues.
