SUCCUBUS to Make Edinburgh Fringe Debut

Halfway Productions has announced SUCCUBUS, a new solo horror-comedy play, will premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Underbelly this summer. Performances will run 5th - 16th August.

The playwriting debut of Yorkshire-born, award-winning burlesque performer Georgina Collins (aka Strawberry Duvall) began as Collins' attempt to understand her own health after being told her extreme physical and emotional symptoms were simply “hormones”. It has since evolved into an exploration of the monstrous feminine, packed with irreverence and stage gore.

Writer-performer, Georgina Collins, said, “I wanted to write about my confusion navigating unexplained hormonal changes and the systematic negligence I experienced in the health system. So naturally, what began as a satire of medical misogyny has now grown into a dark comedy centred around a female demon! I can't wait to perform my debut play SUCCUBUS at this year's Edinburgh Fringe, and hope I can make audiences feel not so alone with their "monstrous" side.”

Directed by Grainne Robson, a theatre-maker from Nottingham who specialises in new-writing and comedy, SUCCUBUS is set to give the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a taste for blood.  This follows Halfway Productions' sold-out 2025 Camden Fringe hit The Publicist.
