Republican Candidate and Texas Governor Rick Perry appeared on last night's LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN on CBS to read the show's Top Ten List, entitled, "Top Ten Rick Perry Excuses".

Perry was attempting to do some damage control after his poor showing in the Republican Candidate Presidential debate on the previous night, which led one CNN reporter to comment that it was the "most embarrassing moment of any debate."

During the debate, the Texas Governor was asked about cutting back on government spending. The candidate attempted to list the three governmental agencies that he would do away with if elected president, however, he appeared to draw a blank when it came to naming the third agency on his list. Stumbled Perry, "The third agency of government I would - I would do away with Education, the Commerce, and, let's see. I can't. The third one, I can't. Sorry. Oops."
