SHREK THE MUSICAL to Open at The Firehouse Theatre

The Firehouse Theatre will present Shrek the Musical, running June 25–July 12. Directed by Laura Jennings, Music Directed by Molly Robinson and Choreographed by April Bourg, this Broadway hit is a joyful celebration of acceptance, friendship, and finding your happily-ever-after in the most unlikely places.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film, Shrek the Musical is a hilarious and heartwarming adventure that proves true beauty comes from within. When a grumpy ogre named Shrek finds his peaceful swamp overrun by a band of banished fairy tale creatures, he sets out on a quest to confront the diminutive Lord Farquaad. Along the way, Shrek is joined by a wisecracking Donkey and tasked with rescuing the spirited Princess Fiona from a dragon-guarded tower. As unexpected friendships form and surprising secrets are revealed, Shrek discovers that being different is something to celebrate.

Tickets to Shrek the Musical are $41 for adults and $37 for students, seniors, educators, and first responders. Saturday matinee performances are $37. Walk-up $20 rush tickets are available 30 minutes before Thursday night performances and must be purchased in-person at the box office. (Rush tickets are $17 plus a $3 convenience fee and are subject to availability.)
Flex 10 and Flex 6 packages are still available, providing the best value for the remaining mainstage productions in The Firehouse Theatre's 2026 Season. Flex tickets can be used in any combination for the 2026 MainStage Season. Benefits include priority access to seating and performance dates, as well as the best per-ticket price.
