A grassroots online fundraising campaign has begun for a New York City revival of Michael John LaChiusa's unique 2005 Off-Broadway musical SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE, spearheaded by producer Colby Levin.

With 34 days remaining to raise the estimated $5000 goal - the amount necessitated to cover costs for a 5-day run at a theater venue, as well as production costs themselves - patrons are encouraged to select any of the many available donation plans, ranging from $10 to $1000, which include tickets to the show ($50), ad space in the program, posters signed by the cast and more, with even a personal serenade by the cast promised at the highest level.

The pitch for the project on the official Indiegogo fundraising page is as follows: "Colbylocks Productions is producing the musical, "See What I Wanna See" by Michael John La Chiusa. The musical was originally done off- Broadway in 2005. The last time it was done in NYC was 2009 for 2 short performances. We feel like it is time to be brought back and reimagined. Especially with everything that is going on in the world today. We have the Westboro Baptist Church with their extremist beliefs who are unwilling to look from different perspectives. There were the bombings in Boston and the tragedy in Newtown Connecticut this year. Hate crimes are everywhere these days. More than ever this show needs to be brought back to the public again. The show deals with seeing and believeing truths from different perspectives. Is their ever an absolute truth? Or is the truth a mix of everyone's perspective. We would hope as a group that audiences would leave the show willing to open their eyes to different perspectives than their own."

The page was recently updated with the venue information, as well, with Levin writing, "We officially got our space! We will be performing at the Producer's Club in the heart of the Theater District!"
