The producers of the new romantic comedy JOY announced today that actress Ryan Kelly will assume the role of Elsa for the play's Off-Broadway bow later this month. Brooke Sunny Moriber, who was originally announced to play the role, will not be appearing due to scheduling conflicts.

Ryan Kelly is making her Off-Broadway debut with JOY. Her New York stage credits include roles in Hardboiled, The War of the Worlds (NYC Radio Theatre) and The Hating Pot (Nova Jem Productions). Her film and television credits include Dorian Blues and ABC's "All My Children."

Directed by Ben Rimalower, JOY begins previews performances on Sunday, July 31 at the Actors' Playhouse (100 Seventh Ave. South) in Greenwich Village. Opening Night is Sunday, August 14 (7:30 p.m.).

The cast of JOY also features Ken Barnett as Corey, Michael Busillo as Darryl, Ben Curtis as Christian, January LaVoy as Kegan, Christopher Sloan as Gabriel and Paul Whitthorne as Paul.
