Project Shaw, the Gingold Theatre Group's series which features readings of every one of George Bernard Shaw's plays, will continue with Androcles and the Lion, on April 23 at 7PM. The story of a kindly tailor on his way to torture in a Lions vs. Christian Coliseum Battle, Androcles and the Lion stars Seth Rudetsky and Bruce Vilanch in the respective title roles. The show is hosted by Brendan Lemon, and produced and directed by David Staller.

"For the first time in recent memory, every play George Bernard Shaw ever wrote for the stage will be presented to New York audiences," states Project Shaw's Website. "Every sketch, full-length and one-act play will be performed as a concert reading. Each month, a specially assembled, star-studded cast will present a different play - many of which have never before been performed in New York City."

The following NYC critics and journalists will take part in the show: David Cote, Adam Feldman, David Finkle, Eric Grode, Charles Isherwood, Howard Kissel, Jeremy McCarter, Michael Musto, Patrick Pacheco, Rex Reed, Michael Riedel, Frank Scheck, Michael Schulman, Raven Snook, Alexis Soloski and Roma Torre.

Recently performed Shaw plays as part of Project Shaw include Doctor's Dilemma, The Music Cure and Interlude at The Playhouse, and Candida.

Androcles and the Lion will run April 23 at 7PM at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park So. Tickets are $15, and go on sale April 1. For tickets call (212) 352-3101 or visit www.projectshaw.com.
