Roundabout Theatre Company's production of John Van Druten's Old Acquaintance will begin previews this Friday, June 1st at 8:00 PM. Old Acquaintance stars Margaret Colin as "Katharine Markham" and Tony Award-winner Harriet Harris as "Mildred Watson Drake."  The play is directed by Michael Wilson.

Old Acquaintance will open officially on Thursday, June 28th, 2007, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).  This is a limited engagement through August 19th, 2007.

The cast also includes Stephen Bogardus (Preston Drake), Diane Davis (Deirdre Drake), Corey Stoll (Rudd Kendall), Cynthia Darlow (Susan) and Gordana Rashovich (Karina).

Old Acquaintance is "a delightful drawing-room comedy about two childhood friends who have grown into very different adults. Though they are both successful authors, independent Katharine 'Kit' Markham (Colin) carries on an affair with a younger man while divorcee Mildred 'Milly' Drake (Harris) refuses to loosen the apron-strings on her teenage daughter, Deirdre (Davis). But when Deirdre's struggles to become more like her idol Kit have far-reaching consequences, the two women who thought they were growing apart may have much more in common than they'd like to admit," state press notes.

Tickets are on-sale now by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212)719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the American Airlines box office (227 West 42nd St.).  Old Acquaintance will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00PM with a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2:00PM.  Visit www.roundabouttheatre.org for more information.
