Robert Mann Gallery to Exhibit at Art Miami 2011, 11/30-12/4
Robert Mann Gallery will be exhibiting at Art Miami 2011, at booth B13.
For Art Miami, the Gallery presents an installation of progressive contemporary photography from a diverse group of gallery artists as well as a concentration of works by Robert Frank including iconic images from the seminal publication The Americans.
The gallery proudly presents new work by Julie Blackmon, whose rich portraits of domesticity draw equally from art-historical motifs, most discernibly Dutch Renaissance master, Jan Steen, as well as from her personal experiences of chaotic familial life. In her work we see a mix of the spontaneous and the unabashedly orchestrated.
Other artists whose work will be featured include Holly Andres, Jeff Brouws (whose series Freshly Painted Houses will be prominently displayed), Wijnanda Deroo, Elijah Gowin, Chip Hooper, Michael Kenna, Mary Mattingly and Richard Misrach.
