Ripley & Skinner Town Hall Concert to be Recorded on Oct 21

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Kritzerland, the CD label for theatre music founded by producer Bruce Kimmel, will be recording the upcoming October 21 concert at town hall feature Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner.

A concert reuniting Tony Award-nominated Side Show stars Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner will be among the highlights of the second annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which will take place from October 20th through 22nd at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd St.). As with last year's festival, Scott Siegel ("Broadway by the Year") writes and hosts.

Skinner (Kennedy Center Mame, The Full Monty) and Ripley (The Baker's Wife at Paper Mill, Rocky Horror Show) will sing side by side once again in "Emily Skinner & Alice Ripley Sing Broadway!" on October 21st at 8 PM. The two received a joint 1998 Tony Award nomination for their performances as Daisy and Violet Hilton in Side Show. They will sing songs from their double-act CDs "Unsuspecting Hearts" and "Duets," among other numbers.
