Railroad Playhouse (RRP) in conjunction with the Newburgh Brewing Company and Chronogram Magazine present The Orange Bash Benefit - this fall's most enjoyable night in Orange County, New York. The Orange Bash Benefit is the first Newburgh benefit for the celebrated two-year old Railroad Playhouse. It will take place tonight, September 20, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Newburgh Brewing Company, 88 Colden Street, Newburgh, NY. The event will honor Ray Yannone, local business man, and owner/renovator of the RRP's home, the West Shore Train Station; and Theresa Brown, RRP Board Member and arts-education advocate.

Join the best and the brightest of Orange County at The Orange Bash Benefit in support of RRP's commitment to the theater, education and the evolving community of Newburgh. Hosted by acclaimed singer/songwriter Vance Gilbert, the evening will include an autumnal feast with beer and wine pairings, a sneak peek of RRP's upcoming production, America's Brightest Star, a live performance by Gilbert, raffle prizes, a live auction and dessert reception. The Benefit will support The Playhouse's 2012/2013 Season and arts-in-education programs.

Tables (premium seating for 8 with pre-ceremony dinner and exclusive performance by Vance Gilbert): $1000. Single Table Tickets (includes pre-ceremony dinner and performance): $150. Ceremony-only Tickets: $75.

Ray Yannone is a lifelong resident of Newburgh, married, father of 4. Following in his father's footsteps, he started his own contrActing Company, Storm King Building Company, Inc., a mid sized commercial contracting firm specializing in adaptive reuse of historical buildings, construction, restoration, and rehabilitation. Restorations include The Storm King Theater (Cornwall-on-Hudson) and The West Shore Train Station (Newburgh, NY), two historical buildings condemned and slated for demolition. Following the restoration of the West Shore Station, Raymond received an Architectural Award from The Orange County Arts Council and preservation award from Newburgh Preservation Association. Raymond also oversaw the restoration of the Historical Broadway Park in The City of Newburgh, offering spectacular views of the Hudson River as well as a pathway from Broadway to the waterfront. Currently, Raymond is working with Continental Organics to develop and revolutionize what will ultimately be the largest and most advanced farm of its type in the North East.

Theresa Brown obtained BS in Music Therapy from SUNY Fredonia and began career as Registered Music Therapist at the Newburgh Developmental Learning Center working with special education pre-school students. After obtaining a MS in Elementary Education and NYS certification in elementary education and music education, taught junior high school chorus and then elementary general music for 15 years before earning a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Activities within the Newburgh community includes organizing performances for the Unity Center - Newburgh Armory, Safe Harbors of the Hudson Family Festivals, Purple Heart Foundation, and many other local organizations.; and coordinating volunteers to assist community organizations such as the Railroad Playhouse, Newburgh Enlarged City School District and Safe Harbors of the Hudson.
