Producers Adam Blanshay & Gareth Lake Launch Glass Half Full Productions

Tony Award winning producer and Chief Executive Officer of Just For Laughs Theatricals, Adam Blanshay has teamed up with Gareth Lake, Chairman of the Board of The Active Theater Company in New York to form new producing company Glass Half Full Productions, it is announced today.

Having co-produced and financed multi award-winning plays and musicals individually for many years, Blanshay and Lake's new collaboration aims to produce some of the best quality theatre on both sides of the Atlantic.

In partnership with Just For Laughs Theatricals, Glass Half Full Productions will produce musicals, plays and comedy in the UK and US. Current projects include the Broadway transfer of Shakespeares Globe productions of Richard III and Twelfth Night, starring Mark Rylance and Stephen Fry from 15 October as well as co-producing credits for the current US Tour of Evita directed by Michael Grandage, the UK and Ireland tour of Dreamworks' Shrek The Musical which opens in July 2014, Jez Butterworth's Mojo at The Harold Pinter Theatre, London and In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) at St James Theatre, London, this Christmas.

Adam Blanshay and Gareth Lake say: "We have individually enjoyed years of involvement in financing and co-producing unique and acclaimed work in the UK and US. Our plan for the future with Glass Half Full Productions is not only to finance projects, but to develop new projects of our own. Our mandate is such that we are opens to all forms of straight drama, and musical comedy, and will be actively looking for these great works."
