Possum Point Players Announce Cast for Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Tickets on Sale Now

Possum Point Players have a cast of 41, and ticket sales have begun for an early fall production of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast." With shows scheduled for Oct. 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15, Director Jim Hartzell of Georgetown said ticket purchases are already steady.

"With this excellent large cast in a very popular musical, we expect shows to sell out. We don't want people to be disappointed if they wait too long to purchase tickets," Hartzell said. "We have 41 cast members from 17 communities throughout the region and they bring a tremendous amount of talent."

Cast members include Marissa Wheaton, Berlin, MD; Alonzo Dixon, Bridgeville; Pat Hudson, Amy Sheridan and Finnley Sheridan, Frankford; Claudius Bowden, Elizabeth Holz, Rhys Humphries, Debra Mengert, Landon Rockwell, Abbey Ruark, Linda Williams, Mike Williams and Ashlie Workman, Georgetown; Kyra Cutsail, Julia Howard, David Naples and Abigail Porter, Laurel; Maddie Betts and Delaney Cinnamon, Lewes; and Morgan Burris, Middletown.

Additional cast members are Kat Hall and Kenney Workman, Milford; Sarah Aleman, Diane Counts, Alexander Proseus and Josh Smith, Millsboro; Leah Toomey, Milton; Jerry Gietka, Ocean Pines; Steve Givens, Hunter Graves and John Hulse, Rehoboth Beach; Whitney Cook, Salisbury, MD; Sylvana Bolden, Timothy Free, Rachel Jones, Dillon Mangene and Rick Trice, Seaford; Hope Kline, Selbyville; Greg Breitkreitz, Viola; and John Moller, Wyoming.

Hartzell has a directorial staff of 11 including Assistant Director Tara Megee, Georgetown; Music Director Liz Messick, Laurel; Choreographers Aimee Voshell String, Felton, and Misty Yencer, Magnolia; Costuming, Louise Hartzell, Georgetown; Stage Manager Leslie Snowden-Jones, Rehoboth Beach; Lighting, Chase Schirmer, Georgetown; Sound/EFX, Chuck Cutsail, Laurel; Props, Donna Flomp, Milton; Makeup, Corinne McMahan, Rehoboth Beach; and Sets, Fred Dean, Georgetown.

Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $23, adults, and $22, seniors and students. They may be purchased at www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling the ticketline, (302) 856-4560.
