You can now get a look inside Manhattan Theatre Club's 2026 Spring Gala, which was held on Monday, May 18 at Cipriani 42nd Street.
 
The evening, which marked and celebrated increased giving two years in a row for Manhattan Theatre Club, was hosted by Amber Ruffin and honored the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for more than two decades of partnership through The Sloan Initiative: Setting the Stage for Science and Technology.

The evening included remarks from Artistic Director Nicki Hunter and Executive Director Chris Jennings as well as Tony Award nominee Jocelyn Bioh, MTC Board Chairman David C. Hodgson, Tony Award winner and 2026 nominee Kenny Leon, Tony Award winner Jonathan Spector, 2026 Tony Award nominee Richard Thomas, Sloan Foundation Vice President Doron Weber, and 2026 Tony Award nominee Whitney White, followed by performances from The Book of Mormon, featuring Kevin Clay in honor of the show’s 15th anniversary on Broadway; Cats: The Jellicle Ball, featuring Garnet Williams; Masquerade, featuring Jeff Kready, Kyle Scatliffe, and Clay Singer; Ragtime, featuring Tony Award nominees Caissie Levy and Brandon Uranowitz; Schmigadoon!, featuring Tony nominee Sara Chase and Ann Harada; and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), featuring Phoenix Best and Vincent Michael. Tony Award winner Jason Michael Webb served as music director for the event. The creative team for the gala featured sound design by Tony Award winner Leon Rothenberg, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, and event décor design by Jessica Zivny, with stage management by Jeff Brancato and Thomas Dieter.
 
Stars in attendance included 2026 Tony Award nominee Betsy Aidem, Ngozi Anyanwu, Hunter Bird, Madeline Brewer, Melody Butiu, Kayli Carter, Margaret Colin, 2026 Tony Award nominee Hannah Cruz, 2026 Tony Award nominee Susannah Flood, Sophie Hayden, Jessica Hecht, Stacy Highsmith, Mike Iveson, Alvin Keith, Kristolyn Lloyd, Richard Maltby, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Jacob Orr, Lena Pepe, 2026 Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, Tyne Rafaeli, Jonathan Spector, 2026 Tony Award nominee Mark Strong, Daniel Sullivan, Charlie Thurston, and 2026 Tony Award nominee Bess Wohl.
