Photo Flash: Tony Winner Alex Sharp Makes A Special Appearance at New York Fashion Week

On Monday, January 30th, fashion designer Billy Reid debuted his Men's and Women's Autumn/Winter 2017 collection via a two part event experience: The Show and The Speakeasy. As part of this presentation, Tony Award-winner Alex Sharp (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime) was in attendance to deliver a mid-show poem for the attendees.

After blues musician Cedric Burnside opened the former part of the evening with a rendition of "Love Her Til I Die". Sharp emerged from the audience to perform "Avenue A", a beat poem by Frank O'Hara.

Following, The Watson Twins delivered a stunning a cappella performance of "Oh, What a Beautiful City (Twelve Gates)". Supermodel and musician Karen Elson then closed the show with "Distant Shore" from her new album "Double Roses". These performers along with a a beautiful tableau of models and friends of Billy Reid, all wearing the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, circled and walked the runway as the scene unfolded.

Also in attendance were TV stars, BJ Novak, Colton Haynes, Jake Lacy, and musician Winston Marshall of the music group Mumford and Sons,

Sharp, a London-born actor, is a Julliard graduate and 2015 Tony Award-winner for his role in the West End and Broadway smash-hit play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
