Photo Flash: Hundreds of Tracy Turnblad Hopefuls Attend Open Call for NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the open call for the role of Tracy Turnblad in NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE! is being held today, April 24th, from 10am-2pm. BroadwayWorld has an inside look at photos from the event; check them out below!

Craig Zadan and Neil Meron ("The Wiz Live!," "The Sound of Music Live!," "Peter Pan Live!") serve as executive producers of "Hairspray Live!." Kenny Leon will direct with Harvey Fierstein providing new written material. Jerry Mitchell will serve as choreographer with songwriting by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. "Hairspray Live!" is produced by Universal Television. HAIRSPRAY LIVE! will air on NBC on Wednesday, Dec. 7th.
