The WorkShop Theater Company is currently presenting Desire in the Suburbs by award-winning playwright Frederic Glover (Sanctuary) and directed by Kathleen Brant.  Previews run Wednesday through Saturday March 14th - 17th at 8:00 pm with an opening on Monday, March 19th at 8:00pm.

The play is, according to press notes, "a dark, erotic comedy about the need for security in insecure times, is an homage to the classic Eugene O'Neill play, Desire Under the Elms. In this modern film noir-esque riff, the action takes place in the seemingly safe suburbs of Westchester. Ed O'Neal, a recently laid-off NYC attorney is forced to move back home. He enlists the aid of his father's new trophy wife in a battle to gain control of their multi-million dollar estate.  The son claims the house belongs to his mother who has mysteriously vanished.  As sexual tension grows and emotional conflict ensues, we learn that no one is who they appear to be."

Featured in the cast are Dee Dee Friedman, WorkShop Artistic Director Timothy Scott Harris and Baz Snider.
