On October 8, 2013, Jane Elissa presented An Intimate Evening with Broadway & Daytime Television Stars at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, where Daytime Soap Star Jackie Zeman and many other prominent Broadway stars performed to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Scroll down for photos!
The benefit featured the talents of Jackie Zeman (Bobbie Spencer-GENERAL HOSPITAL), Dale Badway (Two-Time TONY Award Winner of "Pippin" and "Porgy and Bess"), Musical Director Ben Rauhala ("Pippin"), as well as other stars of Broadway.
The LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
About the Master of Ceremonies: Dale Badway, is a Professional Actor, Singer, and Producer and the Executive Producer, Creative Director of Badway on Broadway Productions. His Broadway Producer credits include: PIPPIN the Musical, The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS© the Broadway Musical and Bonnie & Clyde: A New Musical on Broadway. Dale is a Two-Time TONY Award Winner (2013, 2012), 2013 Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award Winner. Dale is Vice President, Board of Directors, of the Theatre World Awards.
Special performances by Broadway Stars: Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia); Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins); Michael Lanning (Bonnie & Clyde, Civil War); Darren Bluestone (Avenue Q); Tess Soltau (Into The Woods, Addams Family); Max Crumm (Winner of NBC's Grease: You're The One That I Want, Grease); Lauri Landry (The Scarlett Pimpernel); Ric Ryder (The Music Man, Grease, Chess); Aaron James Darr (Jesus Christ Superstar); Seph Stanek (Current Member of The New YorK Gilbert & Sullivan Players); and Michael LaMasa (Singin' In the Rain).
Guests also enjoyed Jordan Siwek, a singer, songwriter, pianist, Broadway, film and television actor and former cast member of Les Miserable's Gavroche, 10th Anniversary Broadway Production. Jordan played the piano for the first half hour of the event.
Proceeds from this special event will benefit the Jane Eilssa/Charlotte Meyers Endowment Fund for Leukemia/Lymphoma Research and Other Charitable Causes. For more information visit JaneElissa.com.
