Photo Flash: Chase Presents The Black Eyed Peas Concert 4 NYC at Central Park

Robin Hood, The Black Eyed Peas, Chase, DAS Communications, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, the Central Park Conservancy and Clear Channel Radio have joined forces to host the six-time Grammy-award winning group's first-ever live concert in Central Park on the Great Lawn Friday, September 30, from 6:00pm - 10:00pm, with media check-in starting at 3:00pm.

The historic "Concert 4 NYC" will raise funds and awareness for Robin Hood, a public charity targeting poverty in New York City by funding and partnering with the most effective programs and providing jobs for impoverished New Yorkers in the five boroughs. As part of the partnership with The Black Eyed Peas, Robin Hood will fund the opening of three Peapod Academies in New York City over the coming years, which will support disadvantaged youth in New York City by providing music and artistic education, such as music engineering and mixing and video editing, among other opportunities.

Throughout the concert, fans will be encouraged to donate to Robin Hood by sending the text message GIVENYC to 50555 to donate $10. 100% of the donation will go to Robin Hood to help New Yorkers living in poverty. In addition, four lucky concertgoers will win seats on the stage and get to enjoy the concert from the vantage point of The Black Eyed Peas. The concert will be streamed live at http://livestream.com/blackeyedpeas.

This is a sold-out ticketed event for 60,000, most of which were distributed free via lottery to 54,000 lucky winners. The original concert was scheduled for June 9 but was cancelled due to severe weather.
