On Monday, September 22nd, popular songwriting team Benj Pasek & Justin Paul hosted a concert at the Zipper Theater as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

'Pasek and Paul in Concert: Overexposed and Underloved' was billed as a "fun evening of old and new Pasek and Paul tunes."  Special guests included Steven Booth (Avenue Q), Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid), Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Mary Faber (Avenue Q), Jessica Hershberg, Chelsea Krombach (Wicked), Victoria Matlock (Wicked), Patina Miller (Hair), Krysta Rodriguez (In The Heights), Aaron Tveit (Wicked), and Natalie Weiss

Benj and Justin are recent University of Michigan grads.  Their first show, Edges, has already been performed by dozens of colleges and professional theatres across North America and Europe and can now be licensed through MTI (www.mtishows.com).  They are writers for Disney Channel's Johnny and the Sprites, and at age 21, became the all-time youngest recipients of the Jonathan Larson Award.  They've played sold-out shows at Joe's Pub and Ars Nova in New York City, The Falcon Theater in Los Angeles and were recently named part of the "50 Dramatists to Watch" by Dramatist Magazine.  www.pasekandpaul.com
