On November 30th at Joe's Pub, Steve Rosen (Monty Python's Spamalot), Sarah Saltzberg (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and David Rossmer (Fiddler on the Roof), in conjunction with Joe's Pub, presented the sixth installment of "Don't Quit Your Night Job," a new monthly comedy benefit featuring a revolving cast of Broadway and Off-Broadway's brightest stars performing without a net. Another show will also be presented on 12/21 at 11:30 PM.
The show was an evening of improv, music, original sketch comedy and backstage anecdotes all to benefit Wendy Wasserstein's Open Doors Initiative.Rosen, Rossmer, Saltzberg, Derrick Baskin (Spelling Bee), Stephen DeRosa (Hairspray), Tony-winner Sutton Foster (The Drowsy Chaperone), Josh Gad (Spelling Bee), Tony-winner Cady Huffman (The Producers), Lisa Jolley (Hairspray), Jason Kravits (The Drowsy Chaperone), and Donna Vivino (Fame Becomes Me) were among the stars who appeared in the event.
The evening featured musical direction by Dan Lipton, with Sean McDaniel on drums. The show was aided and abetted by People's Improv Theatre Teachers Yang Miller and Ali Farahnakian.
