Kicking off the Actors' Fund's "Musical Mondays" series, Tony Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell (Man of La Mancha, Kiss Me, Kate, Ragtime) played to a capacity crowd in the beautiful lobby of the Pantages Theatre.

Stopping the show multiple times, and receiving 2 standing ovations, Mitchell performed a set which included some pop and jazz as well as show stoppers "Wheels of a Dream," "This Nearly Was Mine," and "The Impossible Dream." Mitchell sang "Embraceable You" to Mitzi Gaynor -who was sitting in the first row.

Celebrity attendees included Lynn Redgrave, Peter Gallagher, Tyne Daly, Anne Jeffreys, Doris Roberts, Lois Nettleton, Melissa Manchester, Jim J. Bullock, Mitzi Gaynor, Theodore Bikel, Donna Mills, Mr. Blackwell, and Stefanie Powers. The evening was produced by John Bowab and Martin WIviott.

Peter Gallagher will next perform a "Musical Monday"s show on October 16th.
