Photo Coverage: Backstage with Peter LeDonne Interviews Bill Boggs

Bill Boggs, who has interviewed many of the most notable personalities of our time, had to sit at the other end of the table and be interviewed by Peter LeDonne, whose 970 AM radio program is recorded at Patsy's Italian Restaurant. Boggs, a four time Emmy Award winning TV Host has interviewed cultural icons, presidents, international leaders, business tycoons, writers, athletes,movie stars and celebrity chefs. However, out of those thousands of interviews the interviewee Boggs would probably rate as one of the most interesting. Bill who is also an author an a much in demand speaker, had many tales to share with the radio audience during this lunch time interview, which could well have lasted until dinner time at Patsy's.
Being a frequent patron of the restaurant Bill told a great story about having a date with a most desirous lady. Upon entering Patsy's he was greeted with a friendly hello from Tony Bennett. Of course the lady was very impressed and Bill realized he had just gotten to "first base". The best was yet to come as his date swooned as she spotted John Travolta in the restaurant. Now things got real good for Bill as the Saturday Night Fever star walked over to Bogg's table and said "Bill, so great to see you etc etc. Bill being always elegant and refined did not use that Don Rickles/Frank Sinatra encounter line.."Don't bother me John, can't you see I'm busy". Instead a pleasant conversation took place and Bill realized it was going to be a "home run" on this date.
Jamie deRoy, Peter's night life correspondent who always has a hard time navigating the tables at Patsy's as she always seems to know everyone gave a rundown of NYC nightlife. Celebrity Chef owner Sal Scgnamillo also came out of the kitchen to share a few stories with Peter.
