Bay Street Theatre's 15th Anniversary Benefit Gala, hosted by Julie Andrews and Alec Baldwin, was held at The Rainbow Room on March 6th. The evening included entertainment highlighting memories from Bay Street Theatre's 15 year history. Funding from this event goes toward supporting the 2006 Target Mainstage Season, The Comedy Club at Bay Street, KidStreet – programming for young audiences, The Picture Show at Bay Street and Educational Outreach Initiatives: Summer Internship program, Continuing Classes and the Young Playwrights Program, bringing theater arts education to students throughout the East End's middle and high schools.

Bay Street Theatre is a not-for-profit institution, dedicated to presenting new, classic and contemporary works of the highest quality, which challenge as well as entertain, speak to the diversity of the community and champion the human spirit. Bay Street's commitment extends to educational programs for all ages to foster the continued value of theatre as a vital art form for future generations.
