Pen Parentis Ninth Season Ends with International Authors

Lower Manhattan will be buzzing with glitterati when the Pen Parentis Literary Salons wrap up their ninth successful season of open Salons with readings by four internationally-published authors.

At 7pm on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013, Andaz Wall Street (75 Wall Street) opens its doors to all book lovers 21+ for readings and book signings by four notable novelists. A full bar is available downstairs during the networking portion of the event, while the private dining room on the second floor features a private cash bar at happy hour prices until 9pm. Hosted by M. M. De Voe and Arlaina Tibensky of Pen Parentis, authors Jennifer Cody Epstein, Joanna Hershon, Anne Korkeakivi, and Helen Phillips will read from their latest creative work and will answer moderated questions about the balance of an active family life with a successful literary career. There is no admission charge and no minimums. Books are available for purchase, vended by Bluestockings, a fair trade bookstore.

Pen Parentis, Ltd, is a non-profit organization that provides resources to authors who are also parents, to help them stay on creative track after starting a family.
