Parks & Recreation today announces that a Request for Proposals ("RFP") has been issued for the sale of specialty food from a mobile unit at Cherry Hill in Central Park.

"Cherry Hill in Central Park is appropriately named for the flowering cherry trees that adorn the landscape in the spring," said Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe. "To further enhance the Cherry Hill experience, Parks and the Central Park Conservancy are seeking proposals for a specialty food cart that will offer visitors high quality and affordable epicurean delights."

All proposals must be submitted to Parks & Recreation, Revenue Division by no later than Friday, May 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.
Hard copies of the RFP can be obtained, at no cost, commencing on Monday, April 11, 2011 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., excluding weekends and holidays, at the Revenue division of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, which is located at The Arsenal, 830 Fifth Avenue, Room 407, New York, NY 10065.

To request to receive a copy of the RFP by mail, prospective proposers may contact the Revenue Division at (212) 360-1397. The RFP is also available for download commencing on Monday, April 11, 2011 through Friday, May 20, 2011 from the Parks & Recreation website.
